I was celebrating my 31st birthday, and by then I had ballooned up to 235.5 pounds. There are a lot of things in life we can’t control, and it was disheartening to me to have my body “let me down.” Birthday party photos were my wake-up callĮvery year I have a big birthday party. I developed high blood pressure, was drinking too much, and was dealing with anxiety and depression from my back. I ended up having two more spine surgeries in December of 2015. I was in so much pain and discomfort before my spine surgery in July of 2014. Three surgeries later, I was still a mess It left me with a herniated disc in my low back. ![]() I was feeling great.īut everything changed that November, when I was in a hit-and-run car accident. That summer and fall, I had done a triathlon, a marathon, and a half marathon. I made juicing a habit after watching “Fat, Sick and Nearly Dead” back in 2013.
